He was acting for his political godfathers to see his loyalty – Reno Omokri slams Desmond Elliot

Former Presidential spokesperson, Reno Omokri has also taken a swipe at Desmond Elliot over hiscomment on the negative impact of social media following the violence that erupted in Lagos.

Reno Omokri who reacted to the video which has now been made public, alleged that the actor turned politician was acting for his political godfathers to see his loyalty.
Reno noted that Nigeria has changed and the power has shifted to the people.
He also called on all those following Desmond Elliot on Instagram, to unfollow him.
He wrote;
“Desmond Elliott was acting for his political godfathers to see his loyalty. He is ambitious. He does not believe what he said. He believed he was writing a promotion exam. And he felt that the person that would grade his paper is Bola Tinubu. But Nigeria has changed. Power has shifted to the people. Even Bola Tinubu himself can’t recover from the effects of the last two weeks.
Desmond Elliot expects someone who can’t save himself to save him. Alas, he unwisely chose to be the proverbial fly that followed the corpse into the grave. Tinubu is now a political corpse. He once had the Midas Touch. But now, all that Tinubu has left is the Leprous Touch! Desmond incurred the wrath of forces more powerful than his godfathers, and they may sacrifice him to appease that force
The man @DesmondElliot has 1.5 million followers on Instagram. If in 1 hour’s time, he still has 1.5 million followers, then I will know and accept that everything that he said about Nigeria’s youth is true, because only a fool follows a person that has nothing but disdain for them. Nigeria’s youth must show that government must be afraid of them and one way to do this is by showing that irresponsible speech and action has consequences!”

“Most young people are high on drugs all the time, and do all sorts of things on social media” – Lagos lawmaker, Alli-Macaulay says (Video)

Mojisola Alli-Macaulay, a Lagos state lawmaker, has said most young people in Nigeria are high on drugs at all time – a major reason they do all sorts of things on social media.

She made this known while speaking during a recent plenary session at the Lagos state House of Assembly.
The legislator who represents Amuwo Odofin 1 constituency, said this while making her submission during a deliberation on the crisis that trailed #EndSARS protests in the state.
According to her, young people now go to social media to do all sorts of things because a majority of young people in Nigeria are “high on drugs all the time.”
Her submission was made same day Desmond Elliot and other lawmakers in the statecomplained bitterly about how young people used the social media to fuel #EndSARS crises.
She said, “Look at the children these days. The youths. I like your submission Mr Speaker that it is not unemployment that should be the bane or the reason why youths willcome out and misbehave.
There are unemployment in so many countries of the world, even in the United States. I schooled in the UK and I saw a lot of young people who were not employed but they didn’t bcome hoodlums. Why can’t we look inwards and look for solutions to our problems. Why can’t young people look within themselves, look for their talents.
Even as graduates, what stops you from bcoming a designer or a professional tiler?
There is no excuse for being a hoodlum.
I think it’s about time that the National Orientation Agency needs to set to work. We need to begin to orientate our young people. They need people who can talk to them from time to time.
They are high on drugs most of the time, most of them. They go to social media, they do all sorts of things.”
